-Lost a job at a park due to budget, but found a new job at a new park.
-Worked for a short time at Starbucks.
-Spent New Years in NYC with some amazing people
And way too much other things to list.
I’d like to thank all the great people that I’ve met here, and I hope that we will see eachother again soon. I guess sometime soon I’ll have to change the name of this page into something that reflects what I’m doing now until then thanks for keeping up with me and I hope that you will use this to see how my journey continues in the rest of 2012 and beyond.
I want so many of them, and my collection is already too big, someone help me.
^ I went to visit Steve (student teacher from first semester) with Evan at his place of employment: Starbucks. LOLOLOLOL. only in america.
It’s funny now she calls me Steve and that the three of us can just sit and joke around. I love it, and it’s one of the things that I hope to keep going, so if you’re a former student of mine feel free to come in, call me Steve, and enjoy a beverage that I make you. If you’re not a former student feel free to do those things as well.
If you come visit me and I can swing it, I’ll sit down with you share some laughter and a few smiles but before long my 10 mins of break will be up. I love talking to people and funny moments to brighten up both of our days.
Good first week, I started the new job and it’s giving me a sense of purpose. Going along with that it was a good week of crossfit and I had some fun even with some pretty rough WODs. There are really only two issues that I can think of for this week. First is that Dad is still struggling with the infection in his hand. He had to go back into the hospital to have his hand opened up again so that they can try and get the infection out. The second is that because of all the work I’ve been doing my training has required me to task a lot of the drinks I’ve been making. Most of it was one sip each but you make enough of those drinks in a day and it adds up. I hope that as I get further along I won’t have as many issues with staying paleo at work. Here’s some pictures from this week.

Post workout face, and yes I did bring out Beast Mode for that WOD

broke my parallettes so I had to build new ones.

New shake recipe, One banana, five strawberries, 1/2 cup Coconut Milk and ice. Delicious.
No work today, but I start with a full day of training tomorrow. Today was a day for me, I rested, read a book, and worked out of course. Then I picked up new clothes for work.
Today’s workout:
5rds
15 weighted walking plate lunges - 45 lbs
10 Chest to Bar pullups - used a band
Was a good workout, came home and had a big steak for dinner, and then picked up things for work. Here’s some update pictures.

Elevated plank, one of my two that I did after the workout. Normal plank 1:31, Elevated 1:02

Dinner - Steak, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, and salad mix

Update pictures, thumbs up for my wearing the large shirt and looking awesome

Yes that’s really how my arms sit when relaxed now.

From the back, arms relaxed again but still sticking out to the sides

And the new work stuff, Large slim cut polo and 34/34 pants. More progress and another crazy face. Why can’t I take a picture with a normal face, I have no idea.
Well this was my last day unemployed. I got the call at 1 asking if I’d take the job at Starbucks I interviewed for last week and I took it. Besides it being an awesome company, and my overriding love of coffee it brings a paycheck back into my life something that I need. To celebrate I picked up my diploma since I graduated in December and spent 3 hours at the box between strength training, hanging out, and doing today’s WOD.
Today by the numbers:
Jugg Bench:
5x130
5x145
3 sets of 10x160
Wendler 3’s Deadlift
3x260
3x305
3x340
Then enjoy a break, work on a homemade axel for lifting, do a few continentals with 100# or so and wait for the 4pm class to do the WOD
WOD
Heavy KB Swings and Burpee Box Jumps
15-12-9
2 Min break
12-9-6
1 Min break
9-6-3
70lb KB and 20” box - rough one to do, finished in 24:30
Followed the workout up with a large steak, running to the new job for orientation and hanging out with some friends. Overall not a bad way to spend a Monday. I also purchased a new shirt for work, down yet another size, and even put on a Medium polo and it actually fit me. Tried on some pants, they were 34/32s which is another size down as well. So I’ve gone from a 46/32 in July to a 34/32 in January, and from a 3/4XL to a M/L shirt. This is just insane, and I love every minute of it. Now to find a lady that appreciates my new streamlined look and make some plans on how I’m going to drink all the coffee that Starbucks let’s its partners have.
