Mid week running

Nice outside today so the Wod included some running.  Great to get into the box on a Wednesday and do a workout, I’ve been putting in overtime at work and getting in a good workout in the morning just makes everything feel better.  To follow the WOD up with a taste test of a paleo cake that will make an appearance for my birthday next week and some coffee before having lunch with a good buddy just keeps the day going.

Here’s today’s WOD:

Complete 3 rounds for time:

  • 21 Toes-2-Bar
  • 400m Run
  • 21 Sumo-Deadlift High Pulls (95#/65#)
  • 400m Run

I modified and did 85# and did toes to bar till I couldn’t hit them anymore, did 10 unbroken in the first set, 6 in the second, and 4 in the third.  Then switched to knees to elbows to finish it off.  Overall I’m pretty happy with my results, finished in 24:30.  With the warmup it was just shy of 2 miles of running today.

Pumpkin bread

Pumpkin Bread, really good, divided up into 24 pieces it’s 110 cal each but I have a feeling I’ll be doubling up on portions.

Egg Muffins

Egg Muffins, only partially successful, taste pretty good but they still need some work.
